3M’s Partnership with AIA Raises Awareness… Online Course for Architects, Engineers & Designers

For more than a decade, the 3M Renewable Energy Division has worked with the Architectural Institute of America (AIA) to offer continuing education courses for architects and engineers. Now, 3M has added the ability for architects to go online to take the course. Located at www.continuingarchitect.com/course/window-films, the online 3M™ Window Film course has been completely revamped to provide an engaging, in-depth look at the benefits of using window films.

“This newly designed course provides a nice package with a powerful presentation,” said Jim Mannix, 3M Commercial Marketing Manager. “The enhancements include up-to-date information, new photos, video clips, and a revised, easy-to-follow format.”

According to Lacey Thomas, Account Executive for company managing www.thecontinuingarchitect.com, a similar version of the 3M Window Film course is also now approved by the U.S. Green Building Council, and completion of the course will also build credits for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Design).

“After registering, participants simply click on the desired course, sit back and watch the presentation,” Lacey explained. “At the end, participants complete a 10-question test, and they have the opportunity to leave comments about the course.”.

Affinity S15 is a moderately priced reflective film that allows approximately 15% of available light in.
